This page explains how to delete your Scripture With Me account and what happens to your data when you do. Scripture With Me is published by Scripture With Me, and this process applies to the app on both the App Store and Google Play.
Delete your account in the app (fastest)
- Open the Scripture With Me app and sign in.
- Tap your profile icon to open Profile & Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Deletion takes effect immediately. You will be signed out and your account can no longer be used.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer access the app, email us at support@scripturewithme.com from the email address associated with your account with the subject line “Delete my account.” We will verify your request and delete your account within 30 days.
What data is deleted
- Your account and sign-in identifier (Apple or Google)
- Your name and email address associated with the account
- Your saved prayers, journal entries, and saved verses stored on our servers
- Your prayer group memberships and any prayer requests you shared with groups
What data may be kept, and for how long
- Content stored only on your device (such as local journal drafts and preferences) is removed when you uninstall the app.
- Subscription and purchase records are retained by Apple or Google (not by us) according to their policies. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — manage or cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play settings.
- Backup and log data may persist in our systems for up to 30 days before being permanently purged, and limited records may be retained longer only where required by law.
